LIV’IN CUBE

Year after year, more flowers and vegetables are marketed in Straelen – in the heart of one of Europe’s largest contiguous horticultural areas – than anywhere else in Germany. This newly created living space arose in a region where other people spend their holidays.

In the heart of the picturesque town centre, right on the historic market square, new and modern living space has emerged. The planning challenge for the project was to integrate the building sensitively into the historic townscape. To do justice to this, the idea of a competition was born, which the architectural firm Wienstroer won with its outstanding design.
