WALLHÖFE

In the heart of Ratingen, at the start of the pedestrian zone, the Tecklenburg company is realising the WALLHÖFE project. Based on the design by the renowned architecture firm “kadawittfeld”, an openly designed, modern commercial and residential quarter with a total area of around 12,750 m² is being created. On the upper floors, 67 barrier-free accessible apartments with a total area of around 5,550 m² are being built, deliberately aimed at all generations. Alongside these, around 7,200 m² of retail space is being created. For the retail space, four large units on the ground and basement floors are planned, as well as ground-level small-scale gastronomy and shop units along the newly created promenade between the pedestrian zone and the central bus station (ZOB). EDEKA, Aldi, Woolworth and Fressnapf have already been secured as anchor tenants.

In addition, the quarter development features an underground car park with 125 parking spaces on the second basement level for retail customers. On the directly adjacent neighbouring plot, a municipal underground car park with around 80 parking spaces is being built in parallel. With this quarter development, which combines attractive retail, modern living and a high quality of stay, an important part of Ratingen's town centre is being redesigned for the long term. With their prominent location, the WALLHÖFE form the link between the pedestrian zone and the new ZOB and are therefore of central importance to Ratingen's town centre. The boulevard character offers passers-by both inside and outside the quarter the highest quality of stay, as well as short distances between Wallstraße to the north and Düsseldorfer Platz to the south.
