The final sprint is underway on the Ostwall. REWE Dortmund was won as a tenant, which is thus expanding its presence on the Lower Rhine and significantly enhancing the Straelen location, as well as closing an existing supply gap as a full-range retailer. REWE places great value on a high-quality and comprehensive range, which will be offered to the people of Straelen in future. With a lease with an initial term of 20 years, REWE is sending a clear signal of a long-term commitment in Straelen. The new REWE store is complemented by a DM drugstore. DM has also decided to establish a long-term presence in Straelen and thus round off the full-range retailer's offering. To underline the quality concept from the outset, the future REWE building is being planned and built according to REWE’s own “Green Building” concept. The environmental and energy standards that apply are specified by REWE. Construction has begun. Completion will coincide with the opening of the new REWE and DM store in June 2019.
