The first plot in the Rathausquartier has now been sold to the construction company Tecklenburg. Mayor Prof. Dr. Christoph Landscheidt and Hermann Tecklenburg met recently to give the symbolic starting signal for the project.
On the roughly 1,600-square-metre plot, the "Karl Leo" project is being built, which – fittingly for Markgrafenstraße – takes its name from the first names of former margraves. "The Karl Leo concept convinced not only the city administration, but also the design advisory board, made up of experts from the architecture scene. Together with the new Karl-Flügel-Platz, the Rathausquartier now takes on a whole new quality," says a delighted Mayor Prof. Dr. Christoph Landscheidt. "What is special about Karl Leo is that the buildings lie at the heart of the new Rathausquartier. The plot is located right next to the beautiful park with its fountain," says Hermann Tecklenburg, managing partner of Tecklenburg GmbH.
The entire construction project consists of two blocks with a total of 36 apartments ranging from 44 to 106 square metres. The first block, "Karl", will have four full storeys and a set-back top storey, the second block, "Leo", three full storeys. What is special about the two buildings is the large communal garage with 36 parking spaces that connects the two blocks. The construction company is starting marketing immediately; the first apartments have already been reserved. "This shows the great appeal of Karl Leo. The perfect local amenities, the accessibility, the upmarket fittings of the apartments and the location in an up-and-coming town such as Kamp-Lintfort make the property attractive," Tecklenburg is convinced. The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for the summer of this year, and as early as the fourth quarter of 2021 the removal vans of the new owners should be able to pull up. Source: Stadt-Panorama.
