Contract worth 21.3 million euros goes to Tecklenburg

Over the next two years, the Straelen-based company will realise the “Neuenhofgärten” project in Düsseldorf. 23 April 2018 was a special moment in the long history of the Tecklenburg company. Company boss Hermann Tecklenburg and civil engineer Dieter Gust sealed with a handshake, together with the boards of the civil-servants’ housing cooperative (BWB) and the Caritas Association Düsseldorf, the contract for a project worth more than 21.3 million euros. Over the next two years, Tecklenburg GmbH from Straelen will realise the major Düsseldorf construction project “Neuenhofgärten” on a turnkey basis as general contractor. On the 6,500-square-metre site on Bochumer/Gelsenkirchener Straße in the Düsseldorf district of Rath, a modern Caritas care centre with 110 care places, a daycare centre with four groups, a family centre as well as 37 cooperative apartments will be built by the end of 2020. The four buildings are grouped around a shared underground car park and a green inner courtyard. The housing offer for young and old, in a friendly and relaxed quarter, enables lively exchange between the generations. With this special contract, Tecklenburg GmbH was able to set itself clearly apart from its competitors through intensive engineering consultancy for the client and, through the “know-how” thus conveyed, quickly won the client’s trust. Over several months, the staff of Tecklenburg GmbH’s costing department repeatedly developed, calculated and presented new savings potential for the client, so that after a processing period of more than a year the budget targets could be met. Finally, on 23 April 2018, the parties reached agreement and sealed the cooperation. “We look forward to a magnificent project,” said company boss Hermann Tecklenburg, who has already handed the project over to his senior site managers, so that the work preparation for the large construction site is already in full swing. > read the original article
