It is a good tradition at the Tecklenburg construction company in Straelen that at the turn of the year not only the figures, but also the employees come into focus. When company boss Hermann Tecklenburg took the floor, it was first close to his heart to thank all employees for their commitment. He then turned to Angelika Mülders, who has worked at the headquarters for many years and has the reputation of an organisational talent, and to the long-serving architect Uwe Leist. From now on, both may bear the title “Woman and Man of the Year” respectively with justified pride. Tecklenburg explained the choice made. “Angelika is the good soul of our company. In addition to managing our headquarters, she regularly prepares buffets, whether on the occasion of a birthday or larger meetings. Moreover, alongside the day-to-day business, she ensures suitable gifts/tokens of appreciation for occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, births or illness,” says Tecklenburg. He also did not forget to mention the “Tecklenburg sponsored child”. “The initiative was co-launched by Angelika and has been looked after by her to this day. Once a week she collects the money to support our sponsored child in Bolivia.” Tecklenburg subsequently found words of praise for the “Man of the Year”, Uwe Leist, as well. The company boss called the achievements of the head of the architecture department based within the company “outstanding”. “Through his great expertise, high commitment and diligence, Uwe, together with his team, ensures, among other things, that the building applications for our properties are submitted on time. Due to his likeable, open manner and reliability, he is extremely popular,” says Tecklenburg, who greatly appreciates that for about ten years he has taken on the journey from Wuppertal to Straelen (and back) to support the Tecklenburg team. Tecklenburg is also pleased to thank some of his employees for their many years of affiliation with the company: for 30 years Dieter Koppers (payroll accountant) and Karl-Heinz Fischer (bricklayer); for 25 years Christian Hoever (bricklayer); for 20 years Friedrich Rein (bricklayer/foreman); for 15 years Wolfram Klein (sales employee) as well as for 10 years Robert Bähner (site manager), Michael Schuh (foreman), Andreas Kallmeyer (bricklayer) and Johannes König (bricklayer). > read the original article
